Cobs Can Go Eventing Applications 2026 – FAQs
Cobs Can Go Eventing is back!
One of our most popular series is back for its third season, and we’re looking for new combinations to make this season the best one yet.
Who are we looking for?
This series aims to showcase the versatile cob – a hardy, trainable and incredibly intelligent type – and prove that they can be just as successful in eventing as the more typically seen sports horses. We’re therefore looking for cobs who can smash the stereotype that cobs don’t make strong eventers, and riders who are determined to prove just how special cobs are!
Is there an age requirement?
For this series, we’re focussing on adult riders (18 years+). To be considered for this series, your horse must be 6 years or older.
What kind of cobs qualify?
All cobs are welcome! From traditional gypsy cobs to Welsh cobs, Irish cobs and cob crosses… we want to see them all!
Are applications open to other breeds?
True to the title of the series, we are looking for cobs. BUT a cob isn’t really a breed; it’s more of a type, so anything that’s chunkier than a thoroughbred, sports horse or warmblood is welcome to apply!
I have previously worked with H&C or been featured on an H&C series – can I still apply?
Yes! If you’re the perfect fit, we’d love to work with you again.
Do I have to be a professional content creator, or have a paid Instagram account to apply?
No! We want to hear from everyday riders who are passionate about showing off their cobs. We will be screening social media accounts to select our final contestants, but having a paid or professional content creation account will not make you more likely to be selected.
