Charlotte Dujardin has been displaying Britain’s new equine talent at an open day for one of the country’s up-and-coming studs.

Potentialsuperstars

Mount St John Equestrian breeds dressage foals aimed at a future in elite sport. Its open day, which received a record number of visitors, was a chance for them to show off their young stock.

And who better to present potential dressage superstars than the World, European and Olympic Champion?

“Charlotte has been a friend for over 20 years since our showing days together,” Mount St John director, Emma Blundell told H&C. “She is now working closely with us and riding four of our young mares for training and competitions. She presented two of these mares at our open day.”

Exciting future

Charlotte also recently invested in two colts from the stud. MSJ Charmer is by the stallion Charmeur out of Dorina (by Danone x Royal Diamond), and MSJ Smartini is by Negro out of Tia Roma (by Donnerhall x Rubinstein).

Charlotte said the open day at 11th Century estate situatedinFelixkirk village, on the edge of the North Yorkshire National Park, was “really incredible”.

“Emma runs such a professional set-up and she is breeding foals that we hope will be part of British teams for years to come. I’m very excited for the future.”
