Ant and Dec to host Queen’s 90th birthday

Ant and Dec are to host the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations, live from the Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Big stars

Among the 1500 participants taking part in the event will be some of Britain’s biggest stars, who will be joined by more than 900 horses.

Equestrian performers include the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery, the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, the Oman Royal Cavalry, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Azerbaijan Cossack Riders.

Life story

The 90-minute celebration will tell the story of the Queen’s life from her birth in 1926, to her Coronation in 1953 and her 64-year reign.

Ant and Dec said: “We are honoured to be hosting this special celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s 90th Birthday. This spectacular evening will bring together some of the best known names in the entertainment world to mark this very special birthday.”

Celebration

The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration will take place from 12-15 May 2016 in Home Park at Windsor Castle.

It is being organised by the team behind Royal Windsor Horse Show, who has worked on a variety of projects including the 2012 Diamond Jubilee Pageant also held at Windsor Castle.
