This year’s British Dressage National Convention will showcase the ‘Best of British’, with Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin making a special appearance.

Favourite duo

Dressage’s favourite duo will focus on different aspects of training with Carl working at grand prix level and Charlotte offering an insight into how she produces young horses.

The Olympic, World and European champion will ride horses from the Mount St John Stud in North Yorkshire. Charlotte is producing four of their young mares and recently invested in two colts from the stud.

In previous years the National Convention has featured one high-profile presenter, but this year the organisers are inviting a number of big names who will cover a variety of topics across all levels.

Top talent

British Dressage training director Paul Hayler said: “When I was elected to the training role, revitalising the National Convention was one of my main ambitions.

“With the BD team, we’ve done exactly that and visitors this year will find a professional showcase with top British talent. While the entertainment level will be raised significantly, the essence of learning, thought-stimulation and questioning our methods will still play a vital part.”
