A man from Manchester was playing the latest game of Pokemon Go on a nearby farm when he found a cow in some difficulty.

Searching for Pikachus

While out searching for Pickachus, Paul Morris tracked down a cow with its head stuck in a metal feeder.

Not expecting to find the animal in distress, Paul admits he was only after one thing – small animated characters.

“Some of my friends told me there were a few Pikachus around Wythenshawe Park so I went out to look for some.

“But when I got there I found the cow stuck in the feeder,” he said.

Cow found by a Pokemon Go playerThis new game has created quite the buzz and players are seemingly finding themselves in all sorts of random situations, little did this man think he would be rescuing a cow.

Sticky situation

The female cow had tried escaping but failed and luckily Paul was on hand to respond quickly.

RSPCA Inspector Andy Harris was called out to the scene on Wednesday evening
(27 July) and revealed how serious the situation was.

“Metal bars from the structure had become loose which left the cow not only inside the feeder – but with her head stuck in a gap between the railings too.

“Not only was she trapped but the ground was quite boggy so we had real difficulties getting her out. We called the fire service for assistance as we had no other way of freeing her,” said Andy.
