Changes to eventing squad ahead of Europeans

Flora Harris has lost her place on the senior squad for the European Eventing Championships, following her horse’s ‘lack of form’ at the Nations Cup in Aachen.

Eliminated

Bayano, who is owned by Flora’s mother Caroline and Rebecca Salt, had three run-outs on the cross-country. As a result, Britain was disqualifed from the event whenthe ground jury ruled Holly Woodhead had gone outside the flags at the water and was eliminated.

The Senior Selectors have decided to replace this combination with 22-year-old Tom Jackson and Waltham Fiddlers Find.

Reserve horse

In addition to the substitution Izzy Taylor will now ride her reserve horse KBIS Briarlands Matilda, as Allercombe Ellie was found to be lame in Aachen.

The Longines FEI European Eventing Championships will be held at Blair Castle in Scotland on 10-13 September.
