Fox-Pitt to continue rehabilitation in England

William Fox-Pitt is making “really good progress” followinghis cross-country fall at Le Lion d’Angers, France on 17 October.

The event rider flew back to England yesterday (9 November) and will continue his rehabilitation here.

“His recovery is likely to take time, but he is up and about and improving day by day,” says Alice Fox-Pitt, William’s wife. “We are exceptionally grateful for the huge amount of support we have received.”

The family continue to ask for privacy as William recovers.

Fall

William suffered a serious head injury following his cross-country fall at the 2015FEI World Breeding Eventing Championships for Young Horses.

After being treated by emergency teams at the scene, he was transferred to intensive care at the Angers Hospital.

He was kept under sedation for more than a week following the accident.
