New Year showjumping event in Liverpool

A new three-star showjumping competition is to take place in Liverpool, following a ‘spectacular’ New Year’s Eve party at Albert Docks.

Run by Bolesworth founder Nina Barbour, the international show will be held at the Liverpool Echo Arena on the city’s stunning waterfront on 1-3 January 2016. According to Nina the venue is one of the “premier indoor city venues” in the UK.

“The New Year’s Eve party will provide a spectacular launch, followed by three days of world-class competition and unique acts, with afternoon and evening performances each day,” said Nina.

“Liverpool is a dynamic city, and we plan to embrace the city’s culture, celebrities and performers within each performance.”

High standard

The show aims to follow the success of the Bolesworth International in Cheshire, which will run at four-star level for the first time this year. There are plans to include a high standard of hospitality, with private boxes, and a shopping village surrounding the warm-up arena.
