Laura Renwick is leading lady in France

Britain’s highest rated international lady showjumper Laura Renwick has won the CSI3* Grand Prix in Bethune, France.

Double of awards

The Essex-based rider scooped both the Leading Rider and Leading Lady Rider Awards at the show following her victory in the €45,000Grand Prix.

Riding her nine-year-old bay gelding Bintang II, Laura produced a super clear in the first round, which saw a total of 60 riders line up. Her blistering jump-off round of 42.26sec saw her take the title with more than 1.5sec to spare.

French celebrations

French rider Nicolas Delmotte and Darmani van’t Heik were second with a time of 43.82sec.

Ben Maher delivered the final double clear, finishing fifth with Jane Clark’s nine-year-old bay mare Sarena II, while fellow Brit Guy Williams picked up eight faults in the second round to finish seventh on Basic.
