Hickstead’s Royal International Horse Show kicks off this week – and you can watch highlights on Horse & Country.

Supreme Ridden

We know how much you love showing – and we are bringing you the Supreme Ridden Championship, which is given to the overall champion show horse at Hickstead.

Last year it was won by Allister Hood, who claimed his seventh British Horse Society Supreme Ridden Horse title with Diamonds Are Forever.

Jayne Ross is also prolific at Hickstead, having won the main event in 2015 and 2016. So who will take the title this year? You can watch RIHS 2018: Supreme Ridden Championship on Horse & Country to find out.

Queen Elizabeth II Cup

We are also showing highlights of the Queen Elizabeth II Cup and British Speed Classic.

Harriet Nuttall headed a female one-two in the Queen Elizabeth II Cup last year, riding Galway Bay Jed.

In second place were Holly Smith and Quality Old Joker, who also came second in the Al Shira’aa Hickstead Derby last month. Both combinations will be vying for the top spot, but they are up against the UK’s best showjumpers.

The Queen Elizabeth II Cup used to be an international championship open to women only, but in 2008 it was changed to become a national final, open to the highest-ranked male and female riders in British Showjumping.

Will we see a female or male ride take the prestigious title this year? Watch Horse & Country to find out.

British Speed Classic

Showjumping fans will love the British Speed Classic, which is a thrilling class of speed and agility. The 2017 champion was Joe Whitaker and Lavarno who finished more than 2.5sec ahead of Nigel Coupe.

Joe described the victory as his “most prestigious win”, but sadly won’t be back to defend his title as his horse is injured. You can find out who wins this year on Horse & Country.

Watch the Royal International Horse Show on Sky 184 or Horse & Country. You can also view the show via Amazon Video, Roku and Virgin TV.
