Vaulting sisters to make their HOYS debut

World Equestrian Games medallistsJoanne and Hannah Eccles are to make their Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) debut.

Complex moves

The vaulting sisters recently won a bronze medal in the World Equestrian Games (WEG) in the vaulting pas de deux, while Joanneclaimed individual gold.

The duo will perform an acrobatic display on horseback during the finale on Sunday evening, following the gala performance (12 October).

“We’ll be performing a combination of complex moves from past routines to music, including a one-handed handstand, which is the first time a move of this calibre will have been performed at the show,” said Joanne.

“As we are not restricted to a time limit, as we would be in one of our normal routines, we will be able to include a variety of different moves and put on a real show for the audience.”

HOYS champions

The finale will also feature a parade of the HOYS 2014 champions, including Supreme Horse of the Year, Supreme Pony of the Year,Shire Horse of the Year, Leading Show Jumper of the Yearand winners of thePrince Philip Cup in thePony Club Mounted Games.
