Olympic event riders William Fox-Pitt and Gemma Tattersall are among the entries at next week’s Blair Castle Equi-Trek International Horse Trials (25-28 August).

Other riders just back from Rio that will be riding at Blair include Christopher Burton, Jonelle and Tim Price, and Jock Paget, who was due to compete for the New Zealand team but had to withdraw his Olympic ride Clifton Lush at the last minute after the horse was injured in the stable.

Located in Perthshire, the event takes place against the stunning backdrop of Blair Castle and the Highlands. It was the scene of last year’s European Eventing Championships, where Britain won team silver.

As well as international eventing up to CCI and CIC 3* level, including a leg of the popular Event Rider Masters series, the event also features British Showjumping and showing classes, as well as the Bruadar Country Fair.
