Horses to take centre stage at Queen’s 90th

The team behind Olympia and Royal Windsor are organising a party for the Queen’s 90th birthday next year.

The Queen’s story

The 90-minute show will celebrate The Queen’s 90 years,from the excitement of the royal birth through to World War Two, her coronation and reign of more than60 years.

The event will also reflect her interests, with more than500 horses taking centre stage. These will be joined around 1,200 performers, from all around the world, including dancers, musicians, choirs and a few famous faces, who will tell The Queen’s story.

The event will take place over four nights (12-15 May 2016) at Windsor Castle and will be attended by members of the Royal family each night. Her Majesty The Queen will come to the last performance, which will be broadcast live on ITV.

Memorable occasion

“There will be a very happy and celebratory feel to the whole event,” said Simon Brooks-Ward, producer and director. “We have been delighted with the level of response from funders and participants.It should be a very special and memorable occasion.”
