Horse & Country announces extensive live coverage from the London International Horse Show 2023

London – October 26th, 2023 – Members of Horse & Country’s streaming service, H&C+, have a treat in store this Christmas, with extensive live and on-demand coverage from every day of this year’s London International Horse Show which runs from 13th – 18th December. 

 

As well as world-class showjumping, viewers can look forward to full coverage of all the showing classes, six star-studded masterclasses, and the unrivalled Christmas entertainment that the London International is famous for.

 

The sports action from the International Arena kicks off on Thursday 14th December with the ever-popular Extreme Driving Class. From Friday 15th onwards viewers can watch international showjumping every day, with Ben Maher, Henrik Von Eckermann, Julien Epaillard and Daniel Deusser amongst a host of British and international talent competing. The full line up from the main arena on H&C+ is as follows:

  • The Littleton Manor Equestrian 128cms Championship
  • The Voltaire Design Mini Stakes
  • The Santa Stakes

 

Monday 18th

  • The BSPS Mountain and Moorland Championship – Preliminary and Final
  • The Moonrock Six Bar
  • The Mistletoe Speed Stakes
  • The Turkish Airlines London Grand Prix (outside of the UK)

 

For the first time ever, showing fans will be able to enjoy full live coverage of all 20 classes from the London International Showing Series, taking place in the New Horizon Plastics London Arena across every day of the event. It’s the culmination of a series of qualifiers that have taken place across the country since April. H&C+ has a long-term commitment to showing and we’re delighted to bring such a prestigious event to this passionate equestrian community. 

 

Running alongside the showing in the New Horizon Plastics London Arena is the exciting LeMieux Masterclass Series, all of which will be shown live and in full on H&C+. It’s a star-studded line-up featuring some of the biggest names from across all the main disciplines:

Friday 15th

  • “Perfect Partnerships” with Pippa Funnell and Tina Cook

  • “Showing With the Stars” with Nigel Hollings

 

Sunday 17th

  • “Grassroots to Glory” with Laura Collett, Megan Elphick and Richard Waygood

 

Monday 18th

  • Showjumping Masterclass with Jodie Hall McAteer
  • “Starting Liberty from Scratch” with Ben Atkinson

 

The London International is about more than sport alone and, for those wanting to get fully into the Christmas spirit, there are multiple opportunities to catch the ever-popular entertainment events for which the show is so famous, including The Shetland Pony Grand National, The Kennel Club Agility and Jumping, and the Musical Drive of The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery. This year’s line-up is completed with the return of the world-renowned “Pride of Portugal” Lusitano display team.

 

Finally, if you’re going to the London International in person this year, be sure to visit the Live Zone for the H&C slots where some of our biggest stars are making guest appearances. Ben Atkinson is already confirmed and look out for more big names soon. 

H&C+ members get access to all of H&C’s other live streams and can also enjoy our extensive library of masterclasses, rider profiles and documentaries, featuring many of the top names from the equestrian world. 

Annual membership of H&C+ is only £74.99 as a one-off payment, or there’s an option to pay in 12 monthly instalments of £7.99. And non-members who wish to watch LIHS can choose H&C+ Freestyle, H&C’s Pay Per View option, and buy a pass for the entire event for just £17.99.

All the live classes from LIHS will be available to view on-demand from the following day.
