London, United Kingdom – June 3rd, 2024 – Leading international equestrian sports network Horse & Country (H&C) today announced full details of its extensive and exclusive live coverage of the Longines Luhmühlen Horse Trials, the last 5-Star three-day event before the Olympics.

Members of H&C’s streaming service, H&C+, will be able to watch the action from all three phases across all four days of the event which runs from June 13th to June 16th. English commentary comes from H&C favourite Spencer Sturmey while for German viewers Dirk Alexander Lude, a well-known voice to German fans of horse sport, will set the scene.

With very similar terrain to Paris, Luhmühlen offers the ideal opportunity for riders to prepare for the imminent Olympic Games, and a top-class field is competing including Michael Jung from Germany, Jonelle and Tim Price from New Zealand, and a very strong contingent from Great Britain with Ros Canter, Laura Collett, Yasmin Ingham, Kitty King, Tom McEwen and Mollie Summerland all confirmed.

There’s also an additional treat for Eventing fans with full coverage of the 4-Star event, which runs in tandem with the 5-Star, and is the German Eventing Championship.

Course designer Mike Etherington-Smith commented, “Some riders will be using the event as a pre-Olympic run and so we want to give them and their horses a suitable test. Again, the emphasis is on the riders’ ability to ride well and make good decisions as they go round. There’s plenty to think about on both courses.”

Completing H&C’s coverage from Luhmühlen, internet sensation Megan Elphick will be providing behind the scenes insight with social coverage including a course preview, rider interviews, and a daily highlights reel.

Annual membership of H&C+ is only £74.99 as a one-off payment, or there’s an option to pay in 12 monthly instalments of £7.99. And non-members who wish to watch can choose H&C’s Freestyle option and buy a pass for Luhmühlen for just £17.99.

Commenting for H&C, Director of Content Jonathan Rippon said, “I am delighted to continue our longstanding partnership with such a prestigious event. And, with Bramham, Aston le Walls, Hartpury, Blenheim and more besides for H&C+ members to look forward to, Horse & Country is more than living up to its  position as the Home of Eventing.”

For Luhmühlen, Event Organiser Julia Otto said, “We are delighted to continue working with Horse & Country as our streaming partner. This partnership is already well established and very familiar to eventing fans around the world. It is of huge benefit to the Longines Luhmühlen Horse Trials that Horse & Country will stream the sport coverage internationally, as this is key to both our sponsorship partners and fans, especially if they aren’t able to attend in person.”

To watch all H&C’s live eventing coverage, make sure you are signed up to H&C+.  Members can watch online or with H&C’s mobile apps, as well as on Roku, Apple TV, Android TV, and Amazon Fire. Both H&C+ members and Freestyle pass holders can also watch all the action on-demand straight after it happens.
