Great Britain lies in fourth place in the team competition following two days of eventing dressage in Rio.

Germany holds the lead on 122pen, but it’s incredibly tight at the top – they are only 0.2pen ahead of France. Australia are third with 126.4pen with Great Britain 1.3pen in arrears ahead of Ireland and New Zealand.

While a number of today’s riders broke into the top 10, Britain’s William Fox-Pitt still holds onto the lead in the individual rankings.

France’s Mathieu Lemoine was the best of today’s competitors, scoring 39.20pen to go into third behind William and Christopher Burton.

He’s just ahead of Ingrid Klimke, who is best of the Germans in fourth with 39.50pen.

Pippa Funnell is in 16th place with Billy The Biz, while Kitty King sits in 26th after a few small mistakes marred a lovely test with Ceylor LAN. Fourth team member Gemma Tattersall is in 32nd.

Tomorrow will no doubt cause some shake up to the leaderboard – there’s only one cross-country fence between the top 58 riders.
