A very experienced team has been selected, comprised the current world champion Joanne Eccles (25), her sister Hannah (22) and English senior female champion Lucy Phillips (24).

All three competed at the last WEG in Kentucky and are entered for the individual class. Joanne and Hannah will also compete in the Pas de Deux, which makes its debut at WEG this year.

Both the Eccles sister will be performing on WH Bentley and lunged by dad John. Lucy’s partner is Pitucelli and her mum Liz will be lungeing.

Chef d’equipe Lucy Bell, said: “I’m thrilled for the three girls; they’ve all had great starts to their season this year, with Joanne currently unbeaten in 2014. It’s great to see Pas de Deux being included within the line-up for a World Games and the whole squad are looking forward to heading out to Normandy.”

Individual vaulting is the only event across the eight FEI disciplines where men and women compete in separate classes for individual titles. The vaulting competitions take place 2-5 September in Caen.
