Entries have opened for the 2014 British Equestrian Federation Futurity Evaluation series.

Future stars

The Futurity aims to identify British-bred future stars in dressage, eventing, showjumping or endurance. Foals to three-year-olds can take part, of any breed.

Each youngster is assessed by a panel of experts and a vet and then given a Futurity premium score (grade).

Full potential

All three-year-olds which receive a score of 8.5 and over will be invited to a BEF Equine Bridge selection day under saddle the following year.

Those which are subsequently accepted on to the programme will receive funding and training sessions, to help owners and breeders realise their horse’s full potential.
