Giant hoof prints

A record number of nations are due to take part, with 72 countries having already declared their intention to compete at the Games, making this the world’s largest equestrian event.

To mark the countdown artist Christophe Dumont created a giant ‘100’ in the sand on the beach atMontSt Michel, using man-made hoof prints. Each one was 2.3×2.5m big and the whole piece took five hours to create with the help of 20 people, who had to finish the work of art before the tide came in and washed it away.

Eight events

This is the seventh WEG, which takes place every four years, and features showjumping, dressage, para-equestrian dressage, eventing, driving, reining, vaulting and endurance.
