Young British event riders have won two silver medals and a bronze in the European Championships in France.

Junior Championships

In the Junior European Championships the Racesafe squad all produced clear rounds in the final phase to secure team silver, while Heidi Coy won individual silver.

Joining Heidi Coy and Royal Fury on the Junior team were Sasha Hargreaves (Playtime), Georgia Bartlett (Spano de Nazca), and Elicia Miller (A Sunny Bay).

All four combinations jumped clear in the final phase to win silver behind the home nation who won gold (86pen), while the German overnight leaders dropped to bronze (95.6).

Young Rider Championships

The Young Rider European Championships saw Alex Kennedy take individual bronze, and three British riders finish in the top ten.

The NAF Young Riders fought their way back up the standings, after Alex (Lissangle Cavaletto B) and Yasmin Ingham (Rehy DJ) jumped beautiful clear rounds. However, it wasn’t quite enough for the team to medal and they had to settle for fourth place

Same score

Alex and Yasmin completed on exactly the same score of 32.5pen, but with a difference in collective marks from the dressage, Yasmin took fourth place behind her team mate in bronze.

France’s Victor Levecque took gold (26pen) and Emma Brüssau won silver for Germany (31.3pen).

Mollie Summerland was lying in the individual silver medal position on her own Charly van Ter Heiden, but sadly had two down. Her final score of 37.0pen put them in ninth place overall.
