We’re showing exclusive coverage from HOYS!
Horse & Country TV will be showing televised coverage of the hugely popular Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), with a highlights programme to be broadcast each night at 7.30pm (6-10 October). Horse & Country’s coverage of HOYS is brought to you in association with leading feed manufacturer TopSpec.
The daily highlights show will bring you up to speed with the previous day’s action. The show first airs on Thursday 6th October, which will deliver coverage from Wednesday’s Addington Manor Talent Seekers Championship.
In Friday’s show, you can watch the leading riders in the country do battle for the prestigious Senior Foxhunter Championship, while on Saturday you can enjoy the NAEC Stoneleigh Stakes, an international world ranking class.
Sunday night’s feature class is the Thistledown Puissance, where horses have to jump over the toweringly high red wall, while things come to a thrilling conclusion during Monday’s show with the Grand Prix, which will decide who will be crowned the Leading Showjumper of the Year.
Showing classes are a major part of HOYS with riders up and down the country competing for one of the coveted qualifying tickets. H&C will be broadcasting montage round-ups of the action from several of the classes in the TopSpec Arena.
The daily highlights programme at 7.30pm each night will also be repeated at 10am the following morning. The show will be shown on Sky channel 253, and will also be available live, On Demand and on Catch Up on H&C Play.
“HOYS is one of the highlights of the equestrian calendar, and we’re delighted to be able to bring you more coverage of the show than ever before on the channel,” says Horse & Country’s Head of Programming, Jonathan Rippon.
