Elvin Hoy earned his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon Agricultural College in 1925, where he served as a reporter for The Barometer and was a member of the OAC debate team. He was interviewed by Jennifer Lee for the Horner Museum Oral History Collection (OH 10), Special Collections and Archives Research Center, Oregon State University Libraries.
