Riding with the Reddens: Season Two

H&C is thrilled to announce the second season of our popular docuseries, Riding with the Reddens! This year is going to be even better than the last with another of the Redden family joining Abigail and Emma in the ring as they compete in the US eventing season with the hopes to make it to the 2024 USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds set at the stunning Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. Through a series of highs and lows, the Redden family tackle the challenges of a new horse, unexpected antics and some interesting new training opportunities along the way.

Episode One: Emma is horse shopping, and she questions if their final choice, Oaks, is the right horse. The girls enjoy a fun competition at the Fredericks' farm with special guests Esme Higgs, Kirk Webby, and Jen Carter. Episode Two: The girls face a tough competition at TerraNova. Emma struggles with getting to know her new horse and the pressure is on for everyone as they try to qualify for the 2024 USEA American Eventing Championships Presented by Nutrena Feeds.  Episode Three: At Stable View, the girls work on building a partnership with their new horses to get through the challenging cross country competition. Episode Four: Emma, Abby and Annie compete at the Area III Championship, where Emma faces a cross country disaster. Episode Five: The girls prepare for their toughest competition yet. The first phase is dressage and Annie struggles to keep her horse in check while the other girls fight show nerves. Episode Six: Emma, Abby and Annie take on the cross country and show jumping phases. Emma learns a heartbreaking, but valuable lesson about following the rules of eventing.

Meet The Riders

Emma Redden

Emma started as a hunter/jumper in 2020, and has competed professionally in eventing for two years. Her first horse, Tap, is the gentlest in the barn. Emma has qualified for both Regional and USEA American Eventing Championships during her time competing.

Annie Redden

Annie started riding for fun with her first horse Vegas and fell in love with eventing. She enjoys riding, grooming horses, and horse photography and qualified for the USEA American Eventing Championships this past year.

Abigail Bennet

Abby is a passionate rider who lives and breathes horses. She started eventing two years ago and competes with 2-3 horses at a time. Abby has qualified for Regional and the USEA American Eventing Championships during both years in which she's been eventing.

Meet the Trainers

Madeleine Scott

Madeleine Scott is a 4* eventer from Canada who is the primary trainer of the Reddens. She has been a working student for two-time Canadian Olympian Nick Holmes-Smith as well as Olympian Kyle Carter in Ocala. Her four-star partner is her own Crosby’s Gold, a bay Thoroughbred gelding (Bright Valor x Circle of Flags).

Kyle Carter

Kyle Carter is a 5* rider and Olympian who offers a wealth of experience and training to the Reddens throughout their season. Kyle has competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and won silver medals at both the 2007 Pan American Games and the 2010 World Equestrian Games.
