For the first time ever, H&C are exclusively streaming the Mitsubishi Motors Australian Three Day Event (Aus3de) show highlights worldwide to subscribers from Tuesday 17th December 2019.

This exciting highlights programme captures the dressage, showjumping and cross-country phases as they provide some of the most challenging tests for horses and riders in the sport of eventing.

Following its upgrade to a five star event this year, the Mitsubishi Motors Australian Three Day Event (Aus3de) now proudly takes its place alongside the other great international sporting fixtures: the Kentucky Three Day Event in the United States in April; Badminton Horse Trials in England in May; Luhmuhlen Horse Trials in Germany in June; Burghley Horse Trials back in the UK in September; and Pau Horse Trials in France in October. The Aus3de is Australia’s only CCI 5* event – and is the only event of it’s kind held in the Southern Hemisphere. Held annually in November,  the unique event has been held in the city-centre’s Adelaide Park Lands for  the last 21 years and in 2019 saw more than $150,000 prize money on offer.

This year, Australia’s own Hazel Shannon became the first person in history on to win the event 3 times on the same horse, Willingapark Clifford. The pair previously won the event in 2016 and 2018 – with 2017’s event being won by the New Zealand Olympic combination of Clarke Johnstone and Balmoral Sensation. Shannon and Willingapark Clifford saw themselves as 2nd through the Dressage, 1st in the Cross Country and with two rails down in the last phase, the pair secured themselves a solid win.

Shannon was shocked to have won, with some strong competition being seen from New Zealand’s Amanda Pottinger. Hazel admitted she’d have ‘liked a clear round’ but ‘will be going home to work on that next’.
