Andrew Hoy unveils stunning new yard

Around 100 guests from the horse world attended the glamorous launch of Andrew Hoy’s new yard, Somerby Stables in Leicestershire.

New facilities

Australian eventing star Andrew’s new home, which he shares withpartner Stefanie Strobl, boastsextensive facilities.

These include 32 Monarch stables enclosed by 23 acres of grazing, a large indoor and outdoor arena, training tracks on hills, wash bays, tack rooms and viewing areas for clients.

“With the spacious stables, generous turnout and vast indoor and outdoor arenas, this yard offers ideal training conditions for me and my students,” saus Hoy.

Training days

Stephanie will run her communications business from their new Leicestershire base, while Andrew plans to offer event training from grassroots to four-star level. He has also given a home to the local Mount Group RDA, which keeps five horses at the stables.

“I have been very lucky in life and I feel it is time to give something back,” he said.

Andrew Hoy is one of the most successful Australian equestrians ever, having represented his country at seven Olympic Games.
