H&C’s Dutch presenter Daisy van Nieuwkasteele caught up with dressage rider and top model Mattia Harnacke at CHIO Rotterdam.

Mattia moved from Italy to Australia when he was ten, but he now travels all around the world modelling for the likes of Armani and Dolce & Gabbana. The 20-year-old still finds time for his 17.2hh warmblood Chase, who he says is a “big softy”.

Mattia spoke about his passion for riding and why he’s a man’s man when it comes to horses.

“I think it’s easier to convince a gelding to do something than a mare,” he said.
