A parade celebrating the success of Team GB and Paralympics GB equestrian medallists will take place at Olympia later this month.

Olympia, the London International Horse Show, will welcome the riders on the evening of 16 December, giving fans the opportunity to celebrate a great year for the equestrian world.

Triple gold medallist Charlotte Dujardin and double gold medallist Nick Skelton will be joined by Charlotte’s dressage teammates, Carl Hester MBE, Spencer Wilton and Fiona Bigwood, who claimed team silver at Rio.

With a sensational total of 11 medals (including seven golds) won at Rio, Britain’s equestrian Paralympians will also share in the festivities.

Paralympics GB’s Rio flag bearer, Lee Pearson, who has won gold medals at each of his five Paralympic Games, will be joined by three-time Rio gold medallist Sophie Christiansen and her dressage teammates, Sophie Wells, Anne Dunham and Natasha Baker.

Members of the Equestrian performance team and owners of the gold-medal winning horses will also take part in the celebratory parade, ensuring all team associates are recognised as vital to the Olympic and Paralympic successes.

“We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming such an exceptional group of riders to the Olympia Grand Hall,” commented Show director, Simon Brooks-Ward.
