In this video, watch racing groom Nick Whiteman explain how he grooms a racehorse. While most horseowners will be more than familiar with the basics of grooming, Nick points out how important it is to be quiet and relaxed around Thoroughbreds, and warns they might be sensitive around their belly.

The British Horseracing Authority (BHA)’s Careersinracing team are releasing a series of training videos to educate people about the industry and encourage young people who are considering working with racehorses..

The videos were filmed at Ben Pauling’s training yard in Gloucestershire and feature two of his staff members, Travelling Head Groom Eloise Quayle and Racing Groom, Nick Whiteman.
