Daniel Deusser has won the Olympia Grand Prix this evening riding Equita van T Zorgvliet with a time of 45.67 seconds.

Despite only having the ride on the 12-year-old since May, Daniel has won four Grand Prix classes on the mare in the last 3 months.

Last to go in the jump off, Daniel only had to beat Edwina Tops-Alexander’s clear of 48.42 seconds to win the £27,500 prize money. Edwina rode a steady round on 9-year-old California and took home second place.

Behind Edwina in third was best of the Brits Scott Brash. Following his World Cup leg victory yesterday, Brash and Hello Guv’nor finished their jump off on four faults and a time of 40.83 seconds.

Of the six riders through to the jump off, five were Olympic medal winners, proving the expertise required to tackle Kelvin Bywater’s technical 1.60m course.
